Tricone Hospitality Pte. Ltd’, a subsidiary of Tricone Development Singapore Pte. Ltd.(TDL) has been set up with its head quarters in Singapore. The company envisages the carrying on of business in the hospitality sector, by owning, managing, constructing, purchasing and developing guest houses, service apartments, hotels and motels on an all India basis. The immediate target is to develop, buy or build 200 units of serviced apartments in Delhi by the end of the next two years.

The company has already acquired 1.1 acres of prime land for its pioneer project of serviced apartments and retail/office space in Mayur Vihar, New Delhi. The land parcel is located 1.5 kilometers from the venue of the Common Wealth Games village and will have the Metro Station within walking distance. This area is fast emerging as a new commercial hub being created by the Delhi Development Authority.

Eco id, Singapore and Space Combine, New Delhi, India are the architects for this project. The development is slated to include 136 residential units spread over 1,08,000 square feet and 30,000 square feet of commercial space. Construction at the site is proceeding at a brisk pace. The project is scheduled for completion before the Common Wealth Games to be held in New Delhi in September 2010.
